DESCRIPTION:Lynelle Kenned and Elsabé Richter (sopranos)\, Sandile Mabaso (tenor)\, Bongani Kubheka (bass-baritone)\, the Cape Town Chamber Choir and Camerata Tinta Barocca opens the Cape Town Baroque Festival with an Opera Gala under the direction of harpsichordist Erik Dippenaar. Music from the operas of Handel\, Rameau\, Purcell\, Blow and Pergolesi will be performed. Anna Stoddard will deliver a pre-concert talk\, titled “Baroque Divas”\, at 19:00.
